Working with ‘Alexander McQueen’

Whilst doing my internship with Alexander McQueen fashion house I learnt a number of new skills related to how a fashion business is run and how a collection is put together.

I learnt how fabrics are sourced and sorted into types of collections, and priced for a large Haute Couture design studio. I also developed my knowledge on fabrics by being able to decipher between different weaves, material composition, and genres. Alongside the factual information, I gained experience on how the studio is run, and the different positions within the company.

    Hi Patricia,

Thank you so much for your comments. If you are looking to do a placement with Alexander McQueen, or any one else for that matter, you need to go on the University of the arts london website. http://www.arts.ac.uk/student/careers/creative-opportunities.htm
Hope this helps and good luck
